This website is hosted by AHOY united media. When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically processes information transmitted by your browser (so-called server log files): IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser and operating system used. This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted after a short period unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.

To protect the contact form against automated submissions (spam), we use the Turnstile service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Turnstile uses technical characteristics of your browser (including IP address, browser and device information) to check whether the input comes from a human. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning form protected against misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We only use Google conversion tracking if you have consented to the “Marketing” category in the consent banner. If you reach our website via one of our ads, a cookie is stored. This allows us to see whether the click was followed by a redirect to online booking, an enquiry via the contact form or contact by e-mail or phone. You send booking enquiries to us by email or phone. To carry out the rental relationship, we process your details (including name, address, contact details, travel dates, number of guests and payment information). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If you pay via PayPal, the data required for the payment is transmitted to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. We retain contract and invoice data in accordance with the retention periods under commercial and tax law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
As landlords of a holiday rental in Spain, we are legally obliged to record the identity and stay details of all guests and report them to the Spanish authorities (SES.Hospedajes platform of the Ministry of the Interior) (Real Decreto 933/2021). We use the online check-in service Chekin as a processor for this purpose. The legally required data is processed, including name, date of birth, nationality, identity document details, address and period of stay. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. The data is only stored for as long as required by law.
Villa Palmera can also be booked via booking portals such as Booking.com and FeWo-direkt. If you book there, the portal’s own privacy policy applies to its data processing. On this website we also link to our Instagram profile and to reviews on Booking.com. You are only taken to the respective website when you click such a link; no data is transmitted to these providers beforehand.
